About Dr. Lisha Kievit

Hi! I’m Dr. Lisha Kievit, and I’m so happy you’re here.

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist based in Orlando, Florida. My approach to therapy is warm, accepting, and collaborative. You’ll always find a safe space where we work side by side to reach your goals. My mission is simple: to provide compassionate care, backed by evidence-based strategies, that helps you navigate life’s challenges and step into a life that feels more balanced, confident, and fulfilling.

I have a special passion for supporting women and their families as they address the unique needs during each season of life. Common concerns include self-esteem, body image, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions such as new parenthood, adjustment to college, “empty nest syndrome,” or caring for aging parents. Additionally, I support women through experiences related to reproductive health and well-being — including infertility, pregnancy and postpartum depression and anxiety, pregnancy loss, and menopause.

Over the years, I’ve helped clients not only find relief from difficult symptoms but also reconnect with their strengths and rediscover hope. I truly believe therapy is not just about healing. It’s about growth, empowerment, and creating a life that feels meaningful to you.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward greater well-being and resilience.

Professional Experience

I’ve been fortunate to work in a variety of private practice settings, from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, to Saint Johns, Florida, and now, Orlando. Since moving to Florida in 2019, I’ve also served as a staff psychologist at the University of North Florida Counseling Center, supporting college students and mentoring future mental health professionals.

I’m excited to keep my passion alive by helping the women of Orlando find support, healing, and practical tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence, balance, and hope.

Getting to know Dr. Lisha Kievit

When I’m not working with clients, I love spending time with my husband of 30 years, our three young adult kids, and our goldendoodle, Theo.

As a wife and mom, I’ve had plenty of opportunities over the years to put my mindfulness skills to the test, usually somewhere between the busy schedules, the laughter, and the little everyday moments that matter most.

I find my own sense of calm and joy through photography, long runs, hikes in nature, and quiet evenings spent knitting with a good cup of tea nearby!

I truly appreciate you taking the time to get to know me. If you’re looking for a therapist who combines compassion, collaboration, and proven strategies, I’d love to support you on your journey. Please don't hesitate to email or call me if you have any questions!
