Frequently Asked Questions
The Therapy Process
-
You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like you're handling everything on your own and it's getting exhausting, that's usually a pretty good sign that talking to someone could help. Some people come because they want to process big changes in their lives, others want to understand themselves better, and some just need a safe space to think out loud. In our first session, we'll talk about what's going on for you and what you're hoping to get out of therapy, so you can see if it feels like a good fit.

Getting Started
-
I love working with teens, young adults, and adults who are navigating various life challenges. A lot of my clients are women who come to me for help with anxiety, depression, trauma, or anything related to pregnancy and becoming a parent. However, I also see many people who simply need a safe place to discuss significant life changes or everyday stress. Everyone's story is different, and that's what makes this work so meaningful.
-
Absolutely. Women's mental health is really my passion. I spend a lot of time helping women work through anxiety, depression, perinatal mood issues, PTSD, and OCD. My go-to approach is cognitive-behavioral therapy, or CBT, because it's super practical and research-backed. Instead of just talking about problems, we focus on building real skills and strategies that actually make a difference in your day-to-day life.
-
I think of our sessions as collaborative conversations where you're the expert on your own life, and I'm here to help you figure things out. You'll have a completely safe, judgment-free space to share whatever's on your mind, and we'll work together to find tools and strategies that actually help you feel better. I'm pretty active in sessions—I'm not the type to just sit there and nod. Every person is different, so we'll tailor everything to what works best for you.
Costs & Logistics

I'm not directly in-network with insurance companies, but here's what I can do: I'll give you what's called a "superbill.” It is a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. It’s definitely worth calling your insurance to ask if you have out-of-network benefits

You can find detailed pricing for each service on my Services page. Payment is due at the time of service, and I accept cash, checks, and major credit cards.

This really depends on what you're working on. Some people come for a few months to tackle something specific, while others find that longer-term support helps them with deeper healing and growth. The important thing is that we'll check in regularly to make sure therapy is actually helping you and adjust as needed. You're always in the driver's seat when it comes to how long you want to continue.
