Therapy Using
Proven Strategies

I use thoughtful, evidence-based techniques that research has shown are effective for the concerns you hope to address in therapy. These may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy  (DBT) and mindfulness strategies,  Cognitive-Processing Therapy (CPT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

Support for Every Stage of Life

Anxiety & Stress: If your mind rarely slows down or your body feels constantly on alert, therapy can help you restore balance. Using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based stress reduction, I teach skills to quiet racing thoughts, ease tension, and strengthen emotional resilience.

Life Transitions: Major life shifts can leave you feeling unsteady. Whether you’re adjusting to college, a new career, parenthood, or an empty nest, I use proven tools for emotional regulation, boundary-setting, and problem-solving to help you adapt with confidence and purpose.

Postpartum Adjustment/Postpartum Depression & Anxiety: New motherhood brings joy but can also trigger exhaustion, fear, and self-doubt. Even more troubling for new mothers is experiencing difficulty bonding with their baby, or feeling persistent sadness, guilt, worry, and irritability. Drawing from research in perinatal mental health, I provide judgment-free support to help mothers process emotions, manage anxiety, and rediscover a sense of calm and confidence in this transformative season.

Depression: When life feels heavy and motivation fades, therapy offers a way forward. Using empirically proven methods such as CBT, including behavioral activation and cognitive coping strategies, I will help you identify negative thought patterns, reconnect with your strengths, and rebuild energy and meaning in daily life.

Infertility: Sometimes the path to parenthood goes differently than we expect. Many couples experience challenges when trying to conceive that can lead to sadness, guilt, shame, anxiety, and isolation. I will use compassionate, science-backed strategies to support individuals and couples through the emotional ups and downs of infertility, helping them process loss, manage stress, and stay connected to themselves and each other.

Trauma & PTSD: Trauma can leave lasting imprints on the mind and body, often showing up as anxiety, hypervigilance, avoidance, or emotional numbness. Using evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and CBT, I will help you process difficult experiences safely, rebuild trust in yourself, and regain a sense of calm and control.

Body Image & Self-Esteem: The way you see yourself impacts how you move through the world. I integrate self-compassion techniques, cognitive restructuring, and mindfulness practices to help you challenge inner criticism, embrace body neutrality, and cultivate confidence that comes from within, not comparison.

College Adjustments & Academic Challenges: Young adulthood can feel like a juggling act of independence, expectations, and identity. With a structured, skill-building approach grounded in psychological science, I help students manage perfectionism, academic pressure, and anxiety while promoting balance, resilience, and self-worth.

Midlife Changes: Midlife can bring powerful shifts - physical, emotional, and relational. From perimenopause to changing family roles, I help women navigate this stage with the tools needed for emotional regulation and mindset work, empowering them to rediscover clarity, purpose, and confidence in the next chapter.

Grief & Loss: Loss takes many forms, and healing is not linear. I provide a safe, compassionate space to process grief, whether from death, divorce, illness, or change. Using proven grief therapy frameworks, she helps you move through pain at your own pace while honoring love, memory, and renewal.

Relationship Concerns: Healthy relationships are built on understanding, communication, and trust, but even strong connections can experience strain. I help couples and individuals recognize unhelpful patterns, express needs effectively, and repair emotional bonds using research-based techniques proven to strengthen relationships. Whether you’re navigating conflict, emotional distance, or major life changes, therapy offers the tools to reconnect.

Couples Therapy

My approach is collaborative and compassionate. As a Gottman Method–trained therapist, I use an empirically based approach, backed by over 40 years of research, to help couples deepen their friendship, reduce conflict, and create shared meaning. Together, we’ll focus on tools that help you resolve conflicts respectfully, nurture emotional intimacy, and build a stronger foundation for your future together.

The couples therapy process begins with an assessment phase that includes three sessions and an online tool called the Gottman Relationship Checkup. This helps us gain a clear picture of your relationship’s history, strengths, and areas for growth. The first session is completed together, followed by two individual meetings (one with each partner). Afterward, we’ll meet again for feedback to review insights and outline a personalized plan for moving forward.

In our sessions, we’ll explore communication patterns, navigate conflict with greater understanding, and rebuild trust where it’s needed. Whether you’re facing ongoing disagreements, adjusting to major life changes, or simply wanting to deepen your connection, couples therapy can help you feel more heard, supported, and aligned in your relationship.
